Thanks to a post on one of the Facebook groups, I've been made aware of this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk...g%2Caps%2C135&sr=8-2(Forgive the long link - not sure how to shorten it).
It appears to be an expanded version of the 'A History In Cuttings' book.
What's interesting is that, according to the blurb, it has identified where each cutting has been taken from (source, date etc.).
I actually tried to identify these myself a year or two and created a spreadsheet listing sources for each article. I got on quite well with Volume 1, but had a lot of 'gaps' for Volume 2, as a lot of articles came from European newspapers/magazine, as opposed to the more easily identifiable (at least to me) English press.
So it will be interesting to see if I can fill in the missing data using this book.
Does anybody have any more info on this book?
It's completely flown under my radar up until 10 minutes ago.
There appears to be a few very low-res images posted by Fabrizio della Porta on the 'Joy Division, New Order, Electronic etc.' Facebook group. Looking at the images, there's a lack of polish to them (which I quite like - after all, it's in keeping with the 'fan' nature of the books).
I've ordered a copy, which is arriving on Saturday. Only 83 pages, but I'm quite looking forward to it.
Looking at the low quality images, I reckon it's basically just JD related and only contains articles from 1977 to 1981, rather than some later JD retrospectives (think the original cuttings books had articles up to 1984ish).
So it might have limited appeal to 'NO only' fans rather than some of us who love both bands.
