Judging by the same car that keeps driving past on the right it looks like a six or seven second piece of footage that's been looped and looped and loooped. The pick up truck behind is too new to be from the 80's I think. It's nice that someone decided to put a video on Youtube though.

Yes indeed this was originally written by NO but mainly Bernard and Steve when Tony Wilson requested 20 minutes of 'pap' for the opening of the Hassie. It came out in truncated / edited form on http://www.niagara.edu/n...lations/featuremist.html as 'Prime 586' as it contains some of the synth patterns on 586 and Blue Monday, and the full version in '97 as a CD single / 12" (the 12" was backed by the final, untitled track off the Komakino flexi, oft - and erroneously - dubbed As It Was / And Then Again). Gosh I'm knowledgeable. Probably because I don't have sex very often.

An interesting story HERE on 5-8-6 and its video, don't think I've seen it before (although some of you might have).

Thanks, I hadn't read that before. <<When we finally came to release ‘Video 5–8–6’ on CD in 1997, HMV agreed to make it “Single of the Week” in their stores and in their advertising. Great, we thought. We never twigged that we were meant to pay for this privilege...>> Now what's that expression about Free Lunches? It must be nice to live in a world where businesses do favours for other businesses out of the goodness of their hearts. I'd like to live in that world...
