Not that fresh news, but I couldn't see a thread about it and the name of the forum itself reminded me. Dry Bar has been closed and sold to a developer with a license to put in a boutique hotel http://www.manchestereve...ster-sold-hotel-12741252

Too bad. And if the Hotel then complains about the noise coming from gigs at the Night and Day cafe next door, that could lead to issues for them.

Never went once.Only anecdote i can supply is one time about 10 years ago when i was telling someone about and incident at a bar in the town i live in.The bar was called Verve Bar but for the whole of the time i was telling the story of the incident i mistakenly referred to it as Dry Bar as the name was one that seemed to be one i constantly read about on this forum back in the 00s and so must have been swirling around in my head .At the end the person just gave me a confused look and said "Dry Bar? Where the fuck is Dry Bar?" Edited by user 29 September 2017 11:30:47(UTC)
