If mods think it would be better merged into the NO spotting thread then...fair enough.
Anyway, someone (well, several people as per the top left corner) has scanned a bunch of old City Fun fanzines from around 1979/80. An "insight into post punk Manchester", as Dave Haslam says on his twitter.
As you scroll downwards, more and more pages appear in "lightboxes" which you click to enlarge. Sometimes you have to wait a moment for more of them to load on your screen.
One of the earlier 1979 scans has a track by track review of Unknown Pleasures.
A little later on there's a review of JD supporting Buzzcocks on 27/10/79 (The Joy Buzz). The reviewer had seen them nine times previously and liked them but... "tonight was a depressing performance". For those of us who were too young to be into JD at the time, it's interesting to read a review of them as a current band. No eulogising over Ian: "Curtis looks bored, Hook spent most of the set with his back to the audience. Morises (sic) mind was elsewhere."
Oh and now I've found another review for 24/10/79 with "Cocks Division" hand written at the top. "...Curtis seems he's being lead off steadied by a helping arm. Is he ill?". Both of these live reviews are written at the top right hand side of their respective pages, if that helps.
There may be more to find, I haven't been through it all. It's difficult to give you page numbers as you will probably see when you have a look. Anyway enough rambling from me.
